On the fertile slopes of Mount Elgon, near Sipi Falls, the farmers of the Bugisu tribe have established a reputation as amongst Uganda's finest coffee growers.
By purchasing this coffee you are supporting a cooperative which sources its cherries from up to 9,000 growers.
Its a washed bean, which means that the fruit of the cherry is fully removed before the bean is dried, producing great clarity of flavour.
With good body and some acidity, this bean is well-suited to an espresso, but you can still brew it for filter if that's your preference.
